Product Description:
Yamaha flutes have developed over decades of cooperation between the world's top flutists and the Yamaha team of designers and artisans.  The musicians described to us the elusive qualities they had always been searching for in an instrument but never had been able to find.  We set out to create those qualities.  It took time, but we succeeded in developing instruments that could please the greatest artists.  Everything we learned in perfecting those instruments has been passed along into the design of all our flutes.  Even our standard line flute can ultimately trace its origin back to the experiences and insights of the finest players of this century.  That's what makes our flutes so special.  That's what makes them Yamaha.

400 Series
Our Intermediate model flutes share the same basic design as our Professional flutes, and incorporate many of the same features.  The 400 Series models have a sterling silver headjoint, body and footjoint.
