- Analysis of chord formula, chord function, chord progressions
- Scales and modes for solos application
- Knowledge in jazz voicing and jazz accompaniment
- Melody embellishment
- Interpretation of the Blues, Boogie and Jazz standard
- Guidance using music scores arranged in grand staff and lead sheets
